Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, a part of Fairview Health Services, is currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team!  Our Rehabilitation Department is proud to provide one-to-one patient care, tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual patient in our state-of-the-art rehab facility.

Job Summary:
The staff Physical Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and provides physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.

Job Duties:

  1. Accurately assesses patients' needs.
  2. Identifies and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions.
  3. Provides patient and family teaching.
  4. Works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  5. Participates in performance improvement and program development activities. 
  6. Provides input into the budgetary planning process.
  7. Contributes to cost effectiveness of services and programs provided by the department.
  8. Communicates observations and suggestions related to opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Minnesota.
  2. BLS certification or ability to attain within six (6) months, and must maintain certification.
  3. One year of experience in the care of patients in an acute hospital setting preferred.
  4. Demonstrates participation in and upholds Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital's Mission, Vision and Values.
  5. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
